It is the rider/owner’s responsibility to have all vaccinations up to date.
Spot checks will be carried out at regional shows, winter finals and national championships.

Downgrading of horses is only allowed under certain circumstances, and is entirely at the discretion of the Board of Directors of Dressage Ireland Ltd.
Application for downgrading must be made on the official downgrade application form.
Completed forms and a fee of €30 per application must be sent to the Dressage Ireland secretary.
Horses will be re-graded according to the following table-
|Rider level||Points horse will be allocated|
|Riders who have won no points||30 points|
|Riders who have won points at Preliminary level||50 points|
|Riders who have won points at Novice level||100 points|
|Riders who have won points at Elementary level||175 points|
|Riders who have won points at Medium level||250 points|
|Riders who have won points at Advanced Medium level||350 points|
|Riders who have won points at PSG, FEI YR or 62% in Adv 102 or 105||425 points|
Each downgrade is for one year for one nominated rider only. If another rider of a higher level (see above table) competes the horse, then the horse will revert to his/her original points and any qualifications gained during that year will be null and void.
At the end of the year if a new application for downgrading is not received the horse will revert to his/her original points.
