The 2024 Dressage Ireland National Winter Finals will take place at Mullingar Equestrian Centre on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April 2024.
Qualifying criteria for the National Winter Finals:
From Prelim to Advanced Medium level riders (including all trailblazer classes) will be required to attain one score of 64% or above and must have competed at three Dressage Ireland shows in the qualifying period. From Advanced level to GP level riders will be required to attain one score of 63% or above and must have competed at three Dressage Ireland shows in the qualifying period. The qualifying period is from 11th September 2023 to 24th March 2024 excluding the National Championships 2023.
All riders and horses/ponies must be registered with Dressage Ireland for 2024 and must have obtained the required qualification at the level for each class entered. The onus is on each competitor to ensure that they fulfill the required criteria for any class entered and that they are eligible to compete in their chosen class. Qualifying tests for all grades must be ridden at a Dressage Ireland regional shows or, once the combination is registered with Dressage Ireland for 2024, any affiliated shows in the UK between 11/09/2023 and 24/03/2024, excluding scores obtained at the National Championships 2023.

Entries for the National Winter Finals will open on Friday 1st March and the closing date is strictly 23:45 on Sunday 24th March 2024. The deadline for early withdrawals is midnight Wednesday 27/03/24 and they must be given in writing to admin@dressageireland.ie . After that date no refunds will be given for late withdrawals.
Preliminary, Novice, Elementary, Medium, Advanced Medium, Advanced, Para, Small Tour and Big Tour entry fee is €80. Grand Prix, Intermediate II, Intermediate I, PSG, entry free is €45 and Trailblazer classes entry fee is €35.
Stabling is available online directly through Mullingar EC.
Please note it is not is not permissible to school in the competition arenas at a venue holding a championship within 48hrs of the competition start. Arena walks will be possible at scheduled times which will be advertised prior to the competition
It is the responsibility to the rider to ensure that if they are not available to collect their own test sheets or prizes that they arrange someone to collect it for them. Test sheets cannot be posted out.
Important Information For Competitors
By entering the Winter Finals members are obliged to commit to two hours of helping over the course of the show. This can be undertaken either by the competitor themselves or by a nominated representative on their behalf.
