Northern Region Summer Festival July 2024 - Castle Irvine
Our two day Summer Festival is returning to Castle Irvine on Sunday 14th and Bank Holiday Monday 15th July 2024.

How to enter
Entries are now closed - we are unable to accept late entries. Times will be online on 10th July 2024.
Stabling and Hook Up
All stables and hook up must be booked directly via Castle Irvine Stable and Hook Up Booking

Championship Classes
Only registered members of Dressage Ireland on registered horses will be eligible for prizes in the two day Championships. One test per level will be ridden on each day of the show. Unregistered entries will be accepted, subject to a temporary insurance fee and the combination will not be eligible for prizes. It is the entrant's responsibility to ensure that both horse and rider are correctly registered with Dressage Ireland before entries close. You do not need to have qualified to compete in these classes.
Trailblazers
Trailblazer classes will run with prizes in kind for registered trailblazer members on registered ponies. Unregistered riders may also compete in their age category, however will not be eligible for prizes.
Treo Eile
We are delighted that Treo Eile have offered prizes for Thoroughbred horses in the following Championships:

Judges

Wine Reception - Sunday Afternoon
DINR will host a wine reception on Sunday afternoon, kindly sponsored by Mortgages Plus (Christine Newton). We will publish details of the time and location in due course but we hope everyone will pop in to say hello!

HSI Studbook Series Qualifiers
This year Dressage Ireland are delighted to announce the addition of Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine and HSI sponsored Young Horse Series for 4-, 5-, 6- and 7-year-old horses.
The Series will consist of two qualifiers and a Final. The qualifiers will take place at The Wild Atlantic Dressage Festival 4th-5th May 2024 and The Northern Region Festival at Castle Irvine Co.Fermanagh 14th-15th July 2024. The Final will be held at the Dressage Ireland National Championships 6th-8th September 2024. These will run on Monday 15th July at Castle Irvine.
Please note the following:
• To be eligible for the Studbook series combinations must be fully paid-up members of DI.
• Horses must be studbook registered and entry is open to all stud books.
• Horses must be registered in the correct ownership to be in receipt of prize funds.
• Breeder’s prizes will only be issued to breeders residing on the Island of Ireland.
• To qualify for the final, combinations must compete at one qualifier and achieve a minimum score of 64% or higher.
• Tests for each age category will be the FEI tests for 4, 5, 6, and 7 year olds (the 5, 6 and 7 year olds will ride the FEI Preliminary test for their age category).
• All horses entering classes/in receipt of funds must be studbook registered with a specific breed documented within their studbook passport. This can include main section studbook equines OR supplementary section studbook equines.
Dressage Ireland - Membership Prize
DINR is keen to encourage wider participation and unregistered competitors are warmly welcome to compete at the festival.
Dressage Ireland has sponsored a special prize of both horse and rider membership for the highest score obtained by unregistered combination (that have not previously been registered), providing a wonderful opportunity for new enthusiasts to become part of the Dressage Ireland community.
